what causes my condo’s A/C to drip condensation down from the inside unit to puddle in floor of return?
There is an inside part in a closet and an outside part with the fan that draws the air in. I replaced the inside piece (Bryant) abt 3 yrs ago – now (hot Georgian summer weather – set on 75 degr) it twice fills the bottom of the return with condensation dripping down. Is it just not draining properly or could it be there is something wrong inside? After I dried it up with towels, it stayed dry for several weeks then filled up again yesterday.
This is normal, I have a window a/c and it does collect water on the bottome of the unit. I dont have it hanging outside so the magority of the unit is still inside. I built a suround for it and now the water when it does drip going on a board and evaporates. I use to have a huge puddle on the floor and didnt know what was wrong. try and tilt the unit very very slighty to the rear. this will help it drain outside better
