Ran out of paint, any ideas?
I was painting the vanity room attached to my bathroom…and on one wall I ran out of paint…and never reached the ceiling (about an inch away) and also never put a second coat at the top of the wall…so about 18 inches from the ceiling you can see that it never got a second coat… My real problem is that I got the paint from the “oops” section of Home Depot…where they made a mistake trying to match a custom color and since it was the wrong color the sell ir for $1 – $5…But then they throw in random colors in some formula that it cannot be exactly matched there after…which is why it is sold for such a cheap price…So now I am looking for ideas on how to cover up the unfinished portion of my wall! I was thinking plants, fabric, antique windows to make it look like there are windows up there or something (I live in an old historic type building anyways with lots of antique features anyways). Any ideas would surely help! Thanks….no silly comments please!
the easiest thing to do would be to buy a different color of paint if there is no way the get the exact color you had in the first place. you can get a color as close to the one you had as possible and just repaint the entire room over again. or you could put some trim up on the top of thw wall if there isnt already some.
